How long have you been in business?
Palmer Studio began in my grandparents home after WWII when my father turned his hobby into a small business. After marrying my mother in 1948 he continued and photographed weddings. In 1958 the studio opened in a retail location two doors from our current location. We have been at this address since 1958!
What is your primary product or service?
We now primarily are a portrait, photo restoration and family studio. We do still photograph weddings.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I grew up in the business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Stability and history are very important as a family photography business. We still follow the traditional business plan my father established over half a century ago. Service, quality and a good relationship with our friends and customers.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location is enough! We did have a branch studio about twenty years ago. Now we operate in one location, but are always happy to travel to you.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are at 2008 Airport Blvd in the Loop area of Mobile. From Airport Boulevard and I-65, go EAST toward downtown Mobile. About 2 miles from the interstate go straight over the railroad crossing and we are three doors straight ahead on the right. There is a Summit shell Gas station store across the street. If you reach the next traffic light, you went too far!

Cash, Checks, credit cards.
Which areas do you service?
Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama, but we have traveled all over the globe for clients and fun!
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Denis Palmer is the family member who owns and operates the studio today.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday through Friday from 9-5, Saturday or other times by appointment 251-471-3523, the studio is available to answer your call or set an appointment if Denis is out of the office.
